WEDDING - AMANDA & BEAU

What do you like more: Christmas or Wedding Season? Wedding Season!

Over the weekend I took a trip down to Southern Virginia to see two friends tie the knot. The event was held at the Berry Hill Plantation, a beautiful property built in 1728 and once owned by Benjamin Harrison, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. Amanda and Beau looked great and had their bridal party decked out in seersucker suits and bright yellow dresses, perfect for a hot summer day.

The weekend kind of brought together all of my favorite things about Virginia summers: good friends, sweet tea, warm nights, fireflies, fresh fruits, and driving with the windows down and sunroof open. I managed to snap a few pics along the way... including some of Wyatt and Sarah's newest addition to their family, baby Sawyer. More photos on Facebook, here.

PROPOSAL - DAVID & JACQUI

I received a call from Dave on Tuesday afternoon. "Any chance you're available to take some photos tomorrow?" he asked. "I have something I want to ask Jacqui."

Wowwwwww! Count me in!

Not only do I love getting to hide out and take photos of a proposal taking place—it is an honor for someone to ask you to be there to document one of the most exciting moments of their life—but Dave is also one of the best dudes I know; a man's man, a committed friend and humble as can be. Of course I would want to be there!

Dave asked Jacqui to meet him after work at the restaurant where they had their first date, reserving the very same table. At that table, he asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. And she said yes.
