Jess and Bryan were ready to book me for their wedding photos from the get-go, but I thought it would be good to meet first. I like to know who my clients are and to make sure that we're going to work well together. I think that's why so many of my clients have become friends and why I've had ZERO bad experiences with wedding clients. So we got together for a beer in Old Town to talk things over. Right away, I knew their wedding would be a fun time and that we'd be friends.
It was a beautiful wedding—you can see that. The rain that was forecasted steered clear and the skies even turned blue for most of the ceremony. Fawn Lake Country Club in Spotsylvania, Virginia has a nice lawn overlooking the lake, a huge back porch overlooking the lawn, and a big tent to keep guests covered during dinner and dancing. However, even though all the details were creative, the venue was beautiful, the event went flawlessly, and the bride and groom looked awesome (loved the bow ties!)—the bridal party, family, and guests were my favorite part. From bride and groom's dads' speeches, to Kerry and Kevin's speeches, to conversations with friends and family that think the world of Bryan and Jess, to the way Bryan looked at Jess coming down the aisle—like nothing else mattered, to Mr. Nelms doing the Gangnam Style dance... those are the things I'll remember. And I'll put some of the photos up in my office and it will feel so good to see them and remember how awesome this couple and their family are and how blessed I am to have clients like this.
