This is the third session I've done with Aniya and she just keeps getting cuter. The first and second were at home, and this time we were able to venture out and play. We took these at Bluemont Park, a park in Arlington that I'd never been to. I'm continually being surprised by the interesting places so close to home—can't believe I've never been here.
Susan and Jon are recent transplants to DC and wanted to get their engagement photos done in their new city—before their wedding back home in Michigan. We started in front of the Capitol, near where Jon works, and then took the session across the river to a marina in Arlington. The morning couldn't have been any nicer, and neither could this sweet couple.
Ann and Eric had a super stylish wedding, starting in Rockville at St. Mary's Church (which, on a side note is where my boy F. Scott Fitzgerald is buried) and ending at Sequoia Restaurant in Georgetown. I loved that we had plenty of time to get these photos and the schedule allowed us to wander a bit after the ceremony at the church and around the waterfront area of Georgetown. It was a beautiful day - although we did have to dodge the rain for a few of the photos. Either way, by the look on their faces, it was a perfect day for Ann and Eric!
I am a California photographer who transplanted myself to Washington, DC for a change in scenery. Not that the scenery in California is all that bad—but I'm hungry for new experiences, ideas, and inspiration. To see a complete portfolio go to http://www.nicholasdonner.com.
